Two Indicted For Murder Of T.I. Friend

Two men have been indicted on murder and assault charges in connection with the death of rapper T.I.'s close friend PHILANT JOHNSON.
The rapper was attending an afterparty following a performance at Bogart's nightclub in Cincinnati, Ohio in May 2006, when two men opened fire on his van - killing Johnson and injuring three other members of the star's entourage.
Pardon Thomas, 40 and Hosea Thomas, 34, were arrested in connection with the killing and were indicted on Thursday (19Jun08) on several charges relating to the incident.
Johnson, who was 26, went to school with T.I. - real name Clifford Joseph Harris - and was an integral part of his recording career, according to Allhiphop.com.
Harris pleaded guilty in March (08) to federal weapons charges and was sentenced to a year in prison, three years of supervised home detention, 1,500 hours of community service and a $100,000 (GBP50,000) fine.

GWEN STEFANI and her husband GAVIN ROSSDALE are already planning for their unborn baby's future - they're painting the nursery black to ensure the newborn grows up to be a "goth".

The couple is expecting their second child this year (08), but have chosen not to find out the sex of the new arrival.

And, instead of opting for more traditional nursery colours like blue, pink or yellow, they are painting the new baby's room black so the decor will be suitable for either sex.

And former Bush frontman Rossdale is excited about their unusual decorating plans.

He tells Britain's OK! magazine, "We don't know if it's a boy or a girl. Plus we are going to put him in a black room. It'll be a goth baby so it doesn't matter if it is a boy or a girl."

Stefani and Rossdale already have one son together, two-year-old Kingston.

Based in Los Angeles (by way of Florida), From First to Last formed in 2002 with guitarists Travis Richter and Matt Good. With a rotating lineup early on, the post-hardcore/screamo outfit released the EP Aesthetic on New York-based Four Leaf Recordings in June 2003 ahead sign language with Epitaph by the closing of the year. After the loss of their original vocaliser, Phillip Reardon, 15-year-old Sonny Moore coupled on as tether vocaliser during the recording of the band's debut full-length. Written in deuce weeks, the radical was rounded out on the album -- 2004's Devout Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount -- with drummer Derek Bloom and bassist Jon Weisberger. Tour dates with Story of the Year, Bad Religion, Halifax, and Emanuel, among many others, followed in front work began on their 2006 review.
